WHAT is HIFEM treatment?

High-Intensity Focused Electromagnetic (HIFEM) treatment is provided at Renew PAC through the Emsella chair.

The Emsella chair uses electromagnetic energy to cause deep pelvic floor muscle stimulation without getting undressed. A single treatment delivers 11,000 Kegel-like contractions which help you train and exercise your muscles while you sit in the chair and relax for the duration of the treatment. Results from evidence-based scientific research have demonstrated that 95% of the treated clients have reported significant improvement in their quality of life.

Benefits of the HIFEM treatment

The main benefits of the HIFEM treatment are to restore pelvic floor muscles and improve:

  • Incontinence or bladder leaks
  • Urgency to urinate
  • Frequency of urination
  • Pelvic organ prolapse
  • Sexual function

The Emcella chair delivers the HIFEM via a non-invasive method that can target the specific muscles required to achieve the results you are looking for.

Candidates for HIFEM treatment

Due to factors such as normal aging, childbirth or menopause, the pelvic floor muscles decondition and insufficiently support the pelvic organs. These factors can directly correlate with urinary incontinence.
